Doug started YouTube in 2013 to complement his articles on Jalopnik, who he wrote for at the time. He later became the editor of Autotrader Oversteer, where he continues to write articles today. His YouTube channel quickly rose to fame due to the comedic nature of his videos, where he explores a car's 'quirks and features' and he later on expanded to do car reviews on his channel. He is well known for his unique way of measuring how good a car is based on multiple factors, called the DougScore.
